District 45 Rep. Joel Robideaux encouraged landmen to be more engaged in the legislative process during the September LAPL meeting at the Petroleum Club.

Rep. Robideaux advised oil and gas professional to keep current with the issues—and the resulting laws—affecting the oil and gas industry. He covered other of topics, including state funding procedures and legislation dealing with “legacy” lawsuits.

About 50 people attended.

Please make plans to join us for lunch to hear State Representative for District 45 Joel Robideaux share his perspective and thoughts on the land industry, 11:30 a.m, Friday, September 30, at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette.

 Rep. Robideaux serves as Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives and as a member of Ways and Means, the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, and the House Committee on Retirement. He previously served as a member of the House Committees on Civil Law and Natural Resources and as Chairman of the Retirement Committee. He was also appointed by the Speaker of the House to serve on The Energy Council. He is the only practicing CPA serving in the current Louisiana Legislature.
