Christmas in Cameron, A letter from Keith Hebert
Our LAPL Christmas in Cameron event was again a big success!! Thanks to all our LAPL donors we were able to bring gifts to 54 special needs children in Cameron Parish...delicious food and drinks prepared and donated by Marie and Buster LeBlanc filled their little tummies...each child also received a small ceramic Nativity set, candy cane and "Jesus is the Reason" book mark...the Cameron library received a big box with arts and crafts supplies plus a check for $500...the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Dept. received a check for $1,500...Santa's main Elf Jennifer Bass stole the show with assistance from Elise Talbot...Santa (aka Clerk of Court Carl Broussard) Claus presented each child with his/her gift...Adam St. Romain, PLRM student, helped set things up and mingled with parents and friends...the whole crowd prayed the Lord's Prayer together and everyone had just a really fun and entertaining time!!
Just wanted to let you all know that everything went well and will give you more specific info later as well as get photos together for our next newsletter!
Thanks go to everyone that helped out in any way, shape or form and may everyone have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
Joyeaux Noel et Bonne Annee!
Keith
